Post event details:

The event brought together roughly 90 attendees, including participants, judges, volunteers, and organizers. A total of 70 participants formed 24 teams, with 21 moving forward to local judging. Throughout the 48-hour challenge, teams worked collaboratively on creative solutions related to sustainability, technology, and space exploration.

Three teams were awarded $1,000 prizes:

• Pour Decision won Best in Storytelling,
• Quantum Zoom received Best in Local Impact, and
• Light Years Ahead earned Best in Technology.

These awards highlighted each team’s creativity, technical expertise, and contribution to the community. All local submissions have now progressed to the global judging phase. The top projects from Kamloops will then be entered into NASA’s official judging pool, offering participants the opportunity for international recognition.
